Your first kiss is something you’ll always remember. Our band wants to make sure First Kiss’s shows are something that you and your patrons/guests always remember. We realize that in Wisconsin there are a lot of cover bands to choose from. Some may think “just pick any band, they are all the same”. The reality couldn’t be farther from the truth. He are just a few reasons why First Kiss is a premier Wisconsin cover band that should be considered for your entertainment needs:

1) First Kiss is made up of individuals who have been playing/singing in local and regional bands for years. We care about how we sound and try hard to make our live music sound like the original artist. We practice hard and often to make sure our level of playing and our show is exceptional.

2) During our show we don’t just stand there. We understand that a show is not only an audio experience for your patrons/guests but a visual one as well. We have a high energy level on stage and use professional lighting. Wireless mics, guitars, and bass allows the band movement on stage and even among the crowd to interact and get them involved in the show. We have a constant show happening and strive very hard to minimize down time in-between songs. We believe quiet time in-between songs is a bad thing. You don’t go to the theater and see gaps in-between dialog and onstage action. We think a live musical show should be the same way.

3) In order to always provide the best audio/visual show we use a dedicated sound/light company. The sound and light technicians we use know the band and are very familiar with particular nuances. How hard does the drummer hit? What is the tone of the guitar? Where do the singers travel on stage? Knowing these helps make sure each element of the music is heard clearly, isn’t too loud, and eliminates noise/feedback. If you have a provided PA system First Kiss runs an in-ear monitor mixing board with a splitter snake to the Front of House mixing board. This is a very professional set up and change over time is minimal.

4) We try to capture a wide variety of music in our sets. Dance, Top 40, Country, Pop, Funk, Disco, Rock, from 80’s through today including current hits on the radio right now (not just songs that were popular 6 months ago that we’ve first got around to learning). First Kiss isn’t content with learning 50 songs and playing the exact same ones at every show. We constantly are learning music both old and new so that we can make each show unique. This also insures that we play some old favorites as well as new favorites that are hot at the moment.

5) We realize that your event might have specific needs when it comes to musical selection. By having a large selection of music in our repertoire we can, to an extent, tailor our sets for your establishment/event if you desire. Maybe you are a bar whose patrons like Country (or dislike it), maybe a wedding where you want a number of slow dances, maybe a company party where your guests like older music. With many bands you get whatever their 50 songs are. With First Kiss we can change up our set lists for each show’s needs. Also, First Kiss knows that a song that is popular, heavily requested and played in a bar in front of all adults might not be appropriate for a family event, wedding, or church festival. We are EXTREMELY conscious of the lyrics we are singing and are very careful to structure our set list based on the audience and location.

6) The standard show for bands is a 4 hour block of time where they will play three 60 minute sets separated by two 30 minute break (180 minutes total playing time). First Kiss realizes that most people go to a venue to actually hear and watch the band play, not watch an empty stage. We also know that the audience is more likely to leave during that second break. If you are a business selling drinks/food/raffle tickets or whatever that means less sales for you. First Kiss structures its show differently. We play two 105 minute sets and only take one 30 minute break (210 minutes total playing time). We believe in playing and putting on a show for you and the audience. You are paying to have a band play not sit.

7) Above all else First Kiss is professional. We aren’t rockstar wannabes with huge egos. We don’t believe that your business/event and the crowd is there to serve us. We believe we are there to serve you and the crowd. We work closely with you to make sure your needs are met. Whether it be working with your in-house sound system and sound technician; a need to alter our set times and break times or number of breaks to accommodate you to do announcements, gift/award presentations, wedding grand march; working with you on a late start due to a dinner/presentation running a little behind; song selection; sharing the stage with other entertainment you booked (band, DJ, magician, hypnotist, etc). We will work with you in a professional manner and can be flexible.
